About Me

Hi, I'm Lord Cigel Salvar, a Software Engineer/Automation Engineer based in Davao City, Philippines. Over the past year I've shipped real systems — provincial government platforms, a Shopify audit SaaS, POS and inventory tools, open-source side projects, and n8n workflows that quietly run in the background so teams don't have to.My journey wasn't a straight line. I started as a Criminology student in senior high school, but when the pandemic hit, it reshaped everything — including my path. I pivoted to technology, and looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Cor Jesu College (2024–2025), and I've been building ever since.

What I've Built

A lot of my work sits at the intersection of backend development and systems that people rely on every day:

• PNPKI Tracker — Led backend development and mentored three interns on a Laravel platform that tracks PKI certificate applications for the provincial government, from submission through approval.
• The Province — Built dynamic CMS functionality for a provincial government portal, making it easier to manage and deliver public content and services.
• Vindeto — Architected and developed a Shopify product audit platform where merchants catch catalog issues, review AI-suggested fixes, and keep store data clean with full approval control.
• The New Work Flow — Designed and built an inventory management system and POS for a local business in Digos.
• Dalmy — An open-source bill and lending tracker I built for everyday money management — simple, personal, and shared with anyone who needs it.
• n8n Automation Workflows — A growing collection of workflow automations that connect apps, move data, and replace repetitive manual steps.

Whether it's a government system, a startup product, or a tool I built for myself, the goal is the same: something reliable, maintainable, and actually useful.

What I Work With

My core stack revolves around TALL (Tailwind, Alpine.js, Laravel, Livewire) and VILT (Vue.js, Inertia.js, Laravel, Tailwind) — two of the most powerful combos for building modern, full-featured web applications. I use n8n for workflow automation, connecting systems and eliminating repetitive processes so teams can focus on what matters.I'm also comfortable on the infrastructure side: provisioning and maintaining apps on Ubuntu servers, configuring Cloudflare for DNS, caching, and edge security, and deploying production systems that need to stay up — not just run locally.

My Approach

I believe good software should be invisible — it should just work, without friction, without confusion. I approach every project with a focus on clarity: clean architecture, readable code, and systems that the next developer (or future me) can actually understand and maintain.

Beyond the Screen

When I'm not writing code, you'll find me tending to my backyard crayfish farm — there's a quiet patience to aquaculture that pairs surprisingly well with the problem-solving mindset of a developer. I also unwind in Black Desert Online, and a good cup of coffee is basically a non-negotiable part of my workflow.I'm open to freelance work and collaborations — especially government systems, CMS development, SaaS products, automation, or anything that needs solid backend work and dependable hosting.
